Green Land Sr. Sec. Public School, Ludhiana marked World Environment Day with a deep sense of responsibility towards environmental conservation, reinforcing the message of sustainable living and harmony with nature. The school beautifully translated its vision of “Go Green, Breathe Clean, Live Healthy” into meaningful action through a series of impactful activities designed to instill environmental consciousness among students

The students from Classes I to V enthusiastically participated in a virtual Bottle Planters Activity, showcasing their creativity and love for nature by transforming discarded plastic bottles into colourful and attractive planters. The activity encouraged young learners to adopt eco-friendly practices and understand the importance of recycling and reusing waste materials.

The day also witnessed enthusiastic participation in the plantation drive titled “Each One Plant One,” wherein students from classes VI to XII actively contributed by planting saplings with great excitement and sincerity.

Adding further value to the celebration, an insightful online webinar was conducted on the thought-provoking theme “Beat the Heat – Summer Hydration & Electrolyte Balance Support.” The session, conducted via Zoom, for classes VI- XII provided valuable guidance on maintaining proper hydration levels, understanding electrolyte balance and adopting healthy practices to combat the effects of rising summer temperatures.

Dr.Rajesh Rudhra,the Chairman of the Chain of Green Land Schools, in his inspiring message, lauded the initiative and emphasized that environmental awareness is not merely an activity but a lifelong commitment. He highlighted that such programmes play a crucial role in shaping responsible citizens who understand their duty towards nature and future generations.

The Principal, Mrs Baldeep Pandher also appreciated the collective efforts of students and staff, stating that small yet consistent actions like tree plantation and health awareness initiatives create a strong foundation for a greener and healthier tomorrow. She encouraged students to remain conscious of their surroundings and continue contributing positively towards environmental preservation.
