Phagwara, April 21 (Shiv Kaura) A wave of mourning swept through Phagwara today when DSP Yogesh Kumar Sharma died after accidentally firing while cleaning his own service revolver. This incident took place in the police quarters of DSP Yogesh Kumar Sharma, posted in the Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF), where a bullet was fired from his own official revolver. According to the information, DSP Yogesh Kumar Sharma was alone in his room and when the police personnel present nearby reached the spot after hearing the sound of gunfire, they saw the DSP in a serious condition covered in blood. He was immediately taken to the nearest hospital, but unfortunately the doctors declared him dead. Giving information about this, SP Phagwara Madhvi Sharma said that DSP. Yogesh Kumar Sharma was recently transferred from STF and as per the rules, he had to surrender his official weapon. Today, he was cleaning it before surrendering it, during which a shot suddenly went off and it proved fatal.
