According to the information received, demolition orders had been issued for the house of the grandmother of a drug trafficker operating in the area. However, before carrying out the action, under the directions of SSP Dr. Darpan Ahluwalia, police and administrative officials interacted with local residents and conducted a thorough review of the situation. The residents assured the authorities that no illegal activities would be allowed in the future and that the concerned trafficker would not be permitted to re-enter the area. Prioritizing not only the strict enforcement of the law but also humanity and social responsibility, the administration considered the current financial and family condition of the trafficker’s elderly grandmother and decided to exercise leniency. On humanitarian grounds, the decision was taken not to demolish the house, thereby giving the locality an opportunity to reform.
