Today Green Land Sr. Sec. Public School , Jalandhar Bye Pass, Ldh., has sent a complaint letter to the Deputy Commissioner, Ludhiana, Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Ludhiana, Chairman of NHA of India and Commissioner of Police, Ludhiana regarding 5 ft. deep pit dug infront of school. The construction of slip road for which we, societies and organisations of this area had sent a request letter to Sh. Nitin Gadkari, the Cabinet Minister, Minister of Road Transport and Highway of India, New Delhi, on 25th February, 2019. The construction work was started 3 months back and after digging the place right infront of our school the work stopped. During the past 3 months several students and teachers met with an accident outside the school as at the time of departure and when the school starts in the morning there is a huge rush. There is no place for parents to drop their children due to this pit. Two of our teachers even fractured their foot and one teacher got serious injuries. Many residents of the colonies around this area (around 20) namely Silver Kunj, Royal City, Aman Nagar, Kali Sarak, Bhora Colony, Shiv Nagar, Bharti Colony, Thapar Nagar, Akash Nagar, Basti Bajigar Dera , Azad Nagar, Maskeen Nagar, Chander Nagar, Dana Mandi, Bhadur K Road, Gurbaksh Nagar, Babita Colony etc. even suffered injuries. Even a complaint has been submitted regarding this by different organisations and societies of this area to Hon’ble Minister and National Highway Authorities.
In the complaint letter I have chiefly mentioned the high risk of a major mishap due to the foggy weather as winter is approaching. A request has been made to the authorities through this letter to take cognizance of this as this is a big risk for small children, students , the staff and residents of this area.
We have requested that the matter should be given top priority as it is concerned with small children, students, staff and parents of the school.
