PUNJAB GOVERNMENT LED BY CHIEF MINISTER BHAGWANT MANN IS CONSTANTLY STRIVING TO PROVIDE BASIC FACILITIES TO THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE
The Punjab government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann is constantly striving to provide basic facilities to the people of the state. Working in this direction, Rs. 13.09 Crores are being spent by the Punjab Government to improve the water supply system for Batala town.
After reviewing the work of this Project, Local Government Minister Dr.Inderbir Singh Nijjar has directed the officials of Punjab Water Supply and Sewerage Board to complete this project at earliest.
Diviluing more details, Minister of Local Government Minister, Dr. Inderbir Singh Nijjar said that 7 new tubewells are being constructed under this water supply project for Batala town. Under which about 25 km area is being covered.
Dr. Nijjar said that apart from this, the work of laying water supply lines of different sizes is being covered under this project. Which will benefit the large population of the town.
The Cabinet Minister also informed that Main Dera Baba Nanak Road, Mann Nagar, Dambiwal, Hasanpura, Punder, Murgi Mohalla, Shukarpura, Sunder Nagar, Main Aliwal Road, Katchakot Telianwal, Jujhar Nagar, Jawahar Nagar, Khatib, Allowal Village, Amritsar Road , Dhir Road, Jalandhar Bypass Road will be covered. Apart from this, areas adjacent to Armaan Resort, Malawey Di Kothi, Bodey Di Khuee, Main Jalandhar Road, Navroop Nagar, Back side of Guru Nanak College, Back side of Guru Nanak Academy, Sri Hargobindpur Road, along Kahnuwan Road Adjacent areas, Jharianwal, Prem Nagar, Shanti Nagar, Basant Nagar, Preet Nagar, Model Town, Kala Nangle Road, Dasmesh Nagar, Kartar Nagar etc. areas will be covered under the Batala Town Water Supply Project.
The Minister has directed the officials of the Punjab Water Supply and Sewerage Board to complete the water supply project of Batala town at earliest and ensure quality in the work.
