Green Land Senior Secondary Public School Celebrates Kargil Vijay Diwas And Concludes Social Science Week

Green Land Senior Secondary Public School today paid homage to the brave soldiers who laid down their lives for the nation during the Kargil War. A special assembly was organized for students of classes VI to XII to commemorate Kargil Vijay Diwas.

The assembly was marked by patriotic fervour as students recited poems, sang patriotic songs, and presented speeches highlighting the courage and sacrifice of the Indian armed forces. The event aimed to instill a sense of patriotism and respect for the nation’s heroes among the young minds.

In addition to the Kargil Vijay Diwas celebration, the school also concluded its Social Science Week with a thrilling quiz competition for class X students. The competition tested the students’ knowledge of history, geography, civics, and economics. The event proved to be a stimulating intellectual exercise and encouraged a deeper interest in the subject.

Dr.Rajesh Rudhra, the Chairman of the Green Land Schools emphasized the invaluable sacrifices made by our soldiers and urged students to carry forward their legacy of courage, determination and selfless service. He encouraged students to be inquisitive, passionate learners and responsible citizens.

Speaking on the occasion, The Principal Mrs.Baldeep Pandher said that Kargil Vijay Diwas is a solemn reminder of the indomitable spirit of our armed forces. It is our duty to honor their sacrifices by carrying forward their legacy of courage and patriotism. She further emphasized the importance of education and knowledge in shaping the future of the nation. She urged the students to strive for excellence in their studies and contribute positively to society.
