*Speaker Sandhwan Appeals To The People of Punjab To Take Advantage Of This Scheme And Visit Holy Places*
Punjab Vidhan Sabha Speaker Sardar Kultar Singh Sandhwan today said that so far, over 3 lakh devotees of Punjab have successfully visited various holy places across the country under Mukh Mantri Tirath Yatra Yojana.
Speaking on the impact of the initiative, Speaker Sandhwan highlighted that this scheme has transformed the lives of citizens of Punjab by fulfilling their lifelong aspirations of spiritual travel. He emphasized that connecting with the eternal Almighty is the ultimate aim of human life and this initiative serves as a vital conduit for Punjabis to attain divine blessings of God.
"The Punjab government under Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann remains deeply committed to welfare initiatives that touch the hearts of the masses," Speaker Sandhwan stated. "Governance is not just about administration but also about respecting and uplifting the cultural and spiritual values of the people."
Fulfilling spiritual aspirations and promoting unity, Speaker Sandhwan said that a total of 304784 pilgrims have benefited through 7390 trips so far, which is a massive outreach. The initiative is act as a boon for senior citizens (aged 50 and above) who previously could not afford these sacred journeys.The scheme is completely free of cost and open to all devotees, irrespective of caste, religion or region.
Seamless logistics and doorstep connectivity, he highlighted that a fleet of 95 deluxe air-conditioned buses have been deployed across Punjab to transport pilgrims directly from their doorsteps in villages, towns and cities to various sacred destinations. Under this scheme, pilgrims can visit to different holy places including Sri Harmandir Sahib, Sri Durgiana Temple, Bhagwan Sri Valmiki Tirath Sthal, Jallianwala Bagh and Partition Museum and Takht Sri Kesgarh Sahib at Sri Anandpur Sahib and surrounding religious places.
The Punjab government bears the entire expenditure for travel, accommodation, meals, medical assistance and essential kits, he added.
