*tarunpreet Singh Sond Holds Dialogue With Mgnrega Union; Assures Time-bound Resolution Of Demands*

In a bid to address demands and concerns of MGNREGA workers, Punjab Rural Development and Panchayats Minister Mr. Tarunpreet Singh Sond held a crucial dialogue with representatives of the MGNREGA Karamchari Union at PSPCL Guest House here, while assuring them to fast-track resolution of pending demands.
 
Mr. Sond, along with Secretary Mr. Ajit Balaji Joshi and Joint Development Commissioner-cum-Commissioner Ms. Shena Aggarwal, lent a sympathetic ear to the union representatives regarding their demands and issues. It is pertinent to mention that there are approximately 2,100 employees working under MGNREGA across the state.
 
Mr. Tarunpreet Singh Sond acknowledged the significant contribution made by MGNREGA employees in implementing rural development programmes and ensuring the effective delivery of government schemes at the grassroots level. He stated that these employees have played a vital role in strengthening rural infrastructure and improving the lives of people in villages across Punjab. He said that the state government would make every possible effort to resolve their legitimate demands in a time-bound manner.
 
The Minister assured the union representatives that the Punjab Government, under the dynamic leadership of Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Singh Mann, is fully committed to protecting the interests of employees and ensuring their welfare. He emphasized that the government firmly believes in maintaining a transparent, employee-friendly and accountable administration and is consistently working towards addressing the genuine concerns of its workforce.
 
Highlighting the pro-people approach of the Punjab Government, Mr. Sond said that the present government has been working relentlessly for the welfare of every section of society, including farmers, labourers, youth, women, government employees and rural communities. He added that the government remains committed to ensuring inclusive growth, strengthening rural governance, creating better employment opportunities and delivering citizen-centric services across the state.
 
Meanwhile, Secretary Rural Development and Panchayat Department, Mr. Ajit Balaji Joshi also assured the delegation that all issues raised during the meeting would be examined thoroughly in consultation with the concerned departments. He further stated that matters involving policy decisions and financial implications would also have be discussed with the Finance Department to explore practical and sustainable solutions.
 
Among those present during the meeting were union representatives Gursewak Singh, Prem Sukhdar Gurdeep Dass, Sukhpratap Davinder Singh, Amarik Singh Mahiraj, Ranjit Singh, Amritpal Singh and Sandeep Kakkar, among others.
