Congress Must Clarify its Stand! Does Congress want Punjab’s borders to remain blocked? Is Congress against Punjab’s industrial growth, asks Kang

AAP MP Malvinder Singh Kang launched a scathing attack on the Congress party for its duplicitous stand on farmers' issues, industrial growth, and Punjab's overall development. In a statement, Kang questioned Congress’s intentions and track record, accusing the party of abandoning farmers during its five-year rule in Punjab and misleading them with hollow promises of loan waivers.

Congress MPs Silent on Farmers in Parliament

Highlighting Congress's hypocrisy, Kang stated, “With 99 MPs in Parliament, how many times has Congress truly stood up for farmers in the Lok Sabha? The party owes an answer to the people. When it was in power in Punjab, it promised to waive farmers’ loans but delivered nothing. Instead, the Congress regime oversaw massive scams, including those involving the Rural Development Fund.”

Kang criticized Congress MPs for their silence during the party’s tenure in Punjab, stating, “Why didn’t Congress MPs raise their voices against these scams? Their duplicity is evident – in power, they forget the farmers, and in opposition, they pretend to champion their cause.”

Congress Must Clarify Its Stand on Industrial Growth

Taking aim at Congress's opposition to the Bhagwant Mann government’s initiatives, Kang said, “Punjab’s economic recovery depends on industrial growth. By encouraging protests that block roads and borders, Congress is sabotaging the state’s industry and trade. Is Congress against Punjab’s industry? Is it against the livelihoods of traders and businesspeople? Congress must clarify its stand.”

AAP’s Commitment to Farmer's Cause and Punjab’s Progress

Kang said that the AAP government under CM Bhagwant Mann is dedicated to combating drug abuse, providing employment to youth, and fostering industrial growth in Punjab. “The Congress is desperate and confused because the AAP government is working tirelessly for Punjab’s welfare. Instead of supporting these efforts, Congress is disrupting Punjab’s progress.”

Congress Must Clarify its Stand!

Slamming Congress for its opportunistic behavior, Kang remarked, “Congress's double standards are exposed. When in power, they wear one face, and in opposition, another. They betrayed farmers, failed to implement loan waivers, and did nothing to end farmer suicides or resolve the issue of debt recovery.”

Kang demanded that Congress clearly state its position on Punjab’s borders, industry, and trade. “Does Congress want Punjab’s borders to remain blocked? Is Congress against Punjab’s industrial growth? It’s time Congress comes clean on its agenda. The people of Punjab won’t be fooled by their theatrics anymore.”
