Green Land Convent School celebrated Founder's Day and Baisakhi with great fervor on April 11,
2025. The school campus was filled with the vibrant colours of Baisakhi, and students from
kindergarten to VIII came dressed in traditional Punjabi attire, carrying wheat ears.
A special assembly marked the beginning of Founder's Day celebrations, featuring a PPT presentation
on the school's history, achievements, and values. Students delivered inspiring speeches highlighting
the school's mission and vision, followed by a talent hunt competition showcasing their hidden talents.
To commemorate Baisakhi, students participated in worksheet-solving activities tailored to their grade
levels. The event aimed to educate students about the significance of Baisakhi and its cultural
importance. Students also delivered speeches on Baisakhi, highlighting its significance and cultural
importance. They spoke about the creation of the Khalsa Panth, the importance of the festival in
Sikhism, and the values of courage, compassion, and service that it embodies.
Dr. Rajesh Rudhra, the Chairman of Chain of Green Land Schools told the students about the creation
of the Khalsa Panth which was not just a religious event but a revolutionary one, symbolising the
struggle against oppression and the quest for freedom and justice. He added that we should be inspired
by His vision of society where every individual is treated with dignity and respect regardless of their
background and strived to emulate the values of compassion, humility and service in our daily lives.
He further stated that this festival also serves as a reminder of the rich culture tapestry of our nation.
We should cherish this diversity and use it as a source of strength to build a more inclusive and
harmonious society. He also congratulated the students, teachers, and staff on the successful
celebration of Founder's Day, highlighting the school's commitment to excellence and values.
The Principal of the School, Ms. Ritu Malhotra extended her warmest greetings on the occasion and
stated that Baisakhi provides us with a wonderful opportunity to come together, regardless of our
backgrounds, to appreciate and embrace each other's traditions and customs. We should draw
inspiration from the spirit of Baisakhi to sow the seeds of kindness, compassion and understanding in
everything we do. She also expressed her gratitude to the students, teachers, and staff for making
Founder's Day a grand success, highlighting the school's mission and vision. She encouraged
everyone to participate wholeheartedly in cultural celebrations.
