Ima Ludhiana Celebrates Doctors' Day With Academic Cme And Honours Distinguished Senior Doctors

The Indian Medical Association (IMA), Ludhiana, in association with Max Super Speciality Hospital, Saket, New Delhi, successfully organized a Continuing Medical Education (CME) programme at IMA House, BRS Nagar, with enthusiastic participation from the city's medical fraternity.
Dr. Manoj K. Sobti, Patron, IMA Ludhiana and Member Punjab Medical Council, stated that IMA Ludhiana is celebrating National Doctors Day since 15 years. He emphasized that continuous medical education is the cornerstone of quality healthcare. He stated that while medical science is advancing rapidly, a doctor's commitment to lifelong learning, ethical practice, and compassionate patient care must remain unwavering. He also appreciated IMA Ludhiana for recognizing senior doctors whose decades of dedicated service continue to inspire the younger generation of medical professionals.
On the occasion of National Doctors' Day, IMA Ludhiana honoured senior doctors Dr. Amarjeet Singh Sachdeva, Dr. Avtar Singh, Dr. Satish Chander Verma, Dr. Rajiv Kalra, and Dr. Jagmohan Chopra for their invaluable contributions to the medical profession.
The academic programme featured two highly appreciated scientific sessions. Dr. Rayaz Ahmed, Vice Chairman, Department of Haematology & Bone Marrow Transplantation, Max Super Speciality Hospital, delivered an insightful lecture on "CAR-T Cell Therapy: The New Era in Blood Cancer Treatment." This was followed by an informative session on "Liver Transplant – Indications and Outcomes" by Dr. Vipul Gautam, Consultant, Paediatric Liver Transplantation, Gastroenterology & Hepatology, Max Super Speciality Hospital. Both lectures generated excellent academic discussions and were well received by the delegates.

Dr. Pawan Dhingra, President, and Dr. Ashish Ohri, Honorary Secretary, IMA Ludhiana, thanked the faculty from Max Super Speciality Hospital and all the delegates for making the programme a grand academic success.
