A total 63.94% votes polled in the Punjab Municipal general elections 2026. Voting took place to elect representatives for various municipal corporations, municipal councils, and nagar panchayats.
Polling began early in the morning at 8:00 AM under tight security arrangements and saw a steady stream of voters throughout the day. Long queues were witnessed outside polling booths in both urban and semi-urban localities, reflecting high civic engagement.
The State Election Commission confirmed that the polling process remained largely peaceful.
