Green Land Convent, Dugri,celebrated World Heritage Day with cultural and
traditional zest. The main aim of the competition was to make students aware
about India and world's famous monuments and heritage sites.
A special morning assembly was organised to mark the importance of World
Heritage Day. The students of grade IV to VIII participated in trivial activities -
Brochure making, Slogan Writing and an informative and enlightening powerpoint
presentation was shown to the students of Grade IX to XII.
Our revered President, Chain of Green Land Schools, Dr.Shabad Rudhra said
that World Heritage Day encourages us to celebrate all the world's cultures and to
bring awareness about important cultural monuments. He motivated and advised
the students to participate in preserving and conserving the monuments and
cultural heritage of India.
The Principal , Mrs Geetika Sharma said that World heritage sites help people to
gain more understanding of their ancient cultures and past. She encouraged the
students to celebrate their cultural traditions in the wide context of the great
diversity of cultures and beliefs that make up the world and nation.
On the whole, it was a delight to watch the enthralling mosaic where students
displayed their artistic potential and creativity.
