Green Land Senior Secondary Public School celebrated its 31st Annual Prize Distribution Day & Cultural Fiesta -2022 which was designed on the motif ‘MAGICAL WHISPERS’ amidst great splendour, mirth and zest. The students of grade Pre nursery to XII presented a scintillating show. The afternoon was reserved for gala celebrations which was graced by Mr. Suhail Mir (IPS) ADCP , along with Chairman cum Director of Green Land schools Dr. Rajesh Rudhra, Smt. Usha Rudhra General Secretary, Dr.Shabad Rudhra, President of the Trust, Dr.Vijayata Rudhra, Principal of the School Mrs. Baldeep Pandher, members of the management and dignitaries from all walks of life. All the dignitaries were given guard of honour by NCC Cadets and were cordially welcomed.
The programme commenced with lighting of the Ceremonial lamp by the Chief Guest and Chairperson accompanied by the principal and other eminent dignitaries. The Principal, Mrs. Baldeep Pandher welcomed the guests and the gathering. The Head boy & Vice Head boy Pir jazib and Hriday Rudhra presented the annual report enumerating the academic and cultural achievements of the students, briefing the audience about intercultural learning, global exposure and the philosophy of the school. The school also honoured the deserving students with awards and appreciations in the field of academics, co-curricular and sports.
Shiv Vandana Dance was performed to seek the blessings of almighty followed by cultural program showcasing the jigsaw of childhood fantasies . The synchronized dance movements of the tiny tots to the foot tapping music on different era’s of Bollywood enthralled the audience . The fairy tale ‘Cinderella’ left the audience with awe at the incredible display of talents. The performance of the students in comedy play “ASI HUN BACHE NAI” was highly appreciated by the audience. The spectators thoroughly enjoyed ‘ International dances’ depicting that dance knows no boundaries. A glittering bonanza of folk dance `Malwai Giddha’ was enticing and spellbound the whole audience.
The Chairman of the Chain of Green Land schools, Dr. Rajesh Rudhra in his inspiring speech said that with God's grace we are triumphally celebrating this occasion after confronting pandemic. He talked about the great loss that children have incurred during the pandemics. He felt proud on announcing that Green Knights have not only brought laurels in India but are well placed all over the world. He added that in educating today’s youth we cannot afford to lose sight of the fact that we must teach them to grapple with the problems of their generation like drug addiction, their society and their world. Drugs have spread its wings in our society and even school students have been engulfed in this menace. He advised parents to keep a vigilant eye on their children ,if they want to eradicate this deadly evil from the society. In the end, he congratulated the parents, teachers and Principal Mrs. Baldeep Pandher for encouraging the students and preparing them for Annual Day with their best performance.
The Chief Guest in his address congratulated the school Management and Principal for touching the heights of glory. Awaring the audience he also said that drug addiction is a serious problem amongst youngsters, controlling it is a major challenge. Hence, we should teach students how to say no to their peer groups in case they are offered drugs, alcohol or tobacco. He urged the students to dream big, work hard and make it happen.
The Principal of the school, Mrs. Baldeep Pandher claimed that Green Land stands firm and indomitable for the last so many years in imparting great education and has already taken a lead in grooming students in extracurricular and co-curricular activities. She further added that school excels in all fields of learning and congratulated the school for carving a niche in the city. The programme culminated with the National Anthem and vote of thanks.
