Green Land Senior Secondary Public School Organises Seminar On Understanding Specific Learning Disabilities – The Invisible Disabilities"

Green Land Senior Secondary Public School, Jalandhar Bypass, Ludhiana, organised an enlightening and informative seminar for its teaching faculty on the topic "Understanding Specific Learning Disabilities – The Invisible Disabilities." The session aimed to equip teachers with a deeper understanding of learning disabilities and empower them with effective strategies to identify, support and nurture students with diverse learning needs in an inclusive classroom environment.

During the session the teachers were highlighted various Specific Learning Disabilities (SLDs) such as dyslexia, dysgraphia, and dyscalculia, emphasising that these are neurological conditions rather than indicators of low intelligence. The teachers were sensitised to recognise the early signs of SLDs, adopt learner-centred teaching methodologies, implement appropriate classroom accommodations and create a supportive and encouraging atmosphere where every child feels valued and capable of achieving success.

The seminar witnessed enthusiastic participation from the teachers, who actively engaged in discussions, case studies and interactive activities, making the session highly insightful and practical.
