'anti-drug And Tobacco-free Day' Observed At Gulzar Group Of Institutes; Students And Staff Take Solemn Pledge

With an aim to spread awareness against the ill-effects of drug abuse and tobacco consumption, the Division of Student Welfare of Gulzar Group of Institutes organized an 'Anti-Drug and Tobacco-Free Day'. On this occasion, all faculty members and students of the institution gathered together to take a solemn pledge to eradicate the menace of drugs and tobacco from society and vowed to adopt a healthy, drug-free lifestyle. During the event, eminent personalities inspired the students to stay away from substance abuse and shared crucial insights.
Renowned cyclist Mr. Mandeep Prabhakar motivated the students to make sports and physical fitness an integral part of their daily lives. He emphasized that by engaging in sports and physical activities, one can easily stay away from mental stress and avoid falling prey to bad habits.
Nipun Sharma, the founder of 'Red Foundation', delivered an awareness lecture highlighting the fatal impacts of tobacco and narcotics on the human body. He urged the youth to firmly say 'No' to drugs and act as ambassadors of drug de-addiction to create awareness among others in society.
Addressing the gathering of students and staff, Gurkirat Singh, Vice Chairman of Gulzar Group of Institutes, congratulated the organizers for successfully conducting the program. He stated:
"Gulzar Group of Institutes stands firmly against the menace of drugs. Our institution is always committed to providing not just high-quality education to our students, but also creating a healthy, safe, and positive environment for them so that they can grow into responsible citizens of the country."
The program concluded with a vote of thanks to the guest speakers. The event successfully culminated with a strong collective message of responsibility toward building a drug-free and tobacco-free society.
