AITF has strongly demanded the immediate suspension of Chairman Punjab State Power Corporation Limited for his allegations on Industry for spreading the corruption in PSPCL. In a letter written to the Chief Minister, Power Minister, Secretary Power and Chief Secretary The AITF demanded the immediate suspension of Chairman PSPCL S. Baldev Singh Sran, The Chairman PSPCL yesterday given the following derogatory statement against the Industiralists of Punjab: Though there are other reasons too, the main reason is corruption. I hope you dont mind my saying… but industrialists have made our people corrupt. Our employees ask for money and you give it to them. You opt for the easy way to get your work done. I would request that the PSPCL has to grow. For this, we have to abolish this system of giving money to expedite work, In his statement he clearly admitted that his department is full of corruption and procedures are so tough that industrialists have to pay money for getting their job done Mr Sran is Chairman of PSPCL for more than 5 years and if he failed to curtailed the corruption in the department than he have no right to continue on this post. In the year 2020 when few of the officials of the PSPCL caught red handed then the Chairman given the statement that he will end the corruption in the department very soon. But he failed to do so in last 5 years. Blaming industrialists without evidences is illegal and uncalled for and the Chairman must feel apology for such useless statement. The AITF has lauded the issue of corruption to the Bhagwant Mann government for many times but the government never took it seriously. The government is claiming that systems in Punjab are single window and hassle free but the statement of Chairman has pull to pieces the claims of the government. So the association has demanded the suspension of the Chairman for blaming the industry to be a reason for corruption in PSPCL.
