MTP department of Municipal
Corporation Amritsar did a big demolition drive in cheel mandi area. The
operation was done by MTP Narinder Sharma, ATP Parminder Singh,,ATP
Paramjit Dutta, BI Manish sharma and BI Sukhwinder Sharma.
In a press release Commissioner Harpreet Singh said that a building
owner who was earlier running a hospital in cheel Mandi in the name of Grover
Hospital, was converting it into s illegal building and the said building was
given notices and sealed earlier, but it was reported that the owner had again
started construction due to which the MTP department took action and team
lead by MTP Narinder Sharma and others and it demolished slabs, iron bars
were cut, walls demolished and façade also demolished and the owner has
again been warned not to start construction in future. Commissioner said
illegal construction will not be tolerated in any part of the city and he said
people should construct buildings after getting it passed from Municipal
Corporation Amritsar.
