Wins hearts of students and teachers during school visits
Rajya Sabha MP Sanjeev Arora is quickly gaining popularity among schoolchildren and faculty members, as seen during his visits to local schools where students and teachers eagerly lined up to click photographs with him.
Today, Arora inaugurated several development works worth about Rs.1.56 Crore at five government schools namely Government Primary School, Gobind Nagar; Government Senior Secondary School, Gobind Nagar; Government Senior Secondary School, Haibowal Khurd; GMSSS Cemetery Road and GHS Jawaddi. These development works were carried out as part of the ‘Punjab Sikhya Kranti’ initiative, aimed at providing students with quality education and modern infrastructure.
At each event, Arora encouraged students to embrace technology, stressing that both the present and future revolve around it. He specifically urged students to explore artificial intelligence (AI), noting its growing importance across all sectors worldwide.
Highlighting the newly upgraded smart classrooms, Arora appealed to students to make the most of the modern facilities now available to them. He reflected on earlier times when many schools lacked even basic infrastructure, and classes were conducted under trees. "Students today are lucky to be studying in well-equipped schools," he said.
Arora also inspired students to focus on gaining both knowledge and strong values, reminding them that they represent the future leaders of the country—potential Prime Ministers, Members of Parliament, and MLAs.
During his visit, Arora entered classrooms, personally checked students’ books and notebooks, and engaged with them in a friendly and approachable manner. His humility and warmth left a lasting impression on both students and faculty.
He also announced financial assistance as per demand in some schools.
These functions among others were attended by Nikki Kohli, Principal Kamaljit Kaur, Kusum Lata, Taranjit Kaur and municipal councillor Maninder Kaur Ghuman.
