Greenland Sr. Sec. Public School solemnly observed the Shaheedi Diwas of Guru Arjan Dev Ji, honoring the supreme sacrifice made by the fifth Sikh Guru for righteousness and humanity. A special webinar was conducted for the students of classes Vl-Xll to highlight the significance of this day and to educate them about Guru Sahib’s life, teachings and enduring legacy.
The session featured enlightening speeches and heartfelt poems presented by teachers, while a thoughtfully curated video depicting important life events and messages of Guru Arjan Dev Ji was shared with the students. The aim was to instill values of courage, compassion and resilience among the young minds.
The Chairman of Chain of Green Land Schools, Dr. Rajesh Rudhra encouraged the students to draw inspiration from the Guru’s life, saying that Guru Arjan Dev Ji’s martyrdom is not just a chapter in history, but a beacon of strength and spiritual endurance. He said that we all should walk on the path of righteousness that was illuminated for us by our great Gurus.
The Principal, Mrs Baldeep Pandher, in her message, emphasized the importance of passing on the legacy of our great Gurus to the younger generation, stating that the sacrifice of Guru Arjan Dev Ji reminds us to uphold truth and humanity, even in the face of adversity. She said that it is our duty to carry forward Guru's teachings through actions rooted in kindness and justice.
