HOSHIARPUR; 14th October 2026:

Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann on Wednesday dedicated 154 new Aam Aadmi Clinics (AAC) to the people, taking the state’s total to 1,245, and asserted that his government’s priority is to deliver quality healthcare, education and employment rather than indulge in politics of slogans. During a public gathering at village Harkhowal in Chabbewal, he highlighted over 6.48 crore OPD visits at the clinics and healthcare coverage worth up to ₹10 lakh for 54.20 lakh families, while warning that a change of government could put public welfare initiatives, including free bus travel for women and monthly financial assistance, at risk.

Taking to X, CM Bhagwant Singh Mann stated: “Today, we have dedicated 154 new Aam Aadmi Clinics to the people of Punjab. These clinics were inaugurated during a massive public rally at village Harkhowal in Chabbewal. With this, the total number of Aam Aadmi Clinics in Punjab has reached 1,245. So far, patients have benefited from free medicines and diagnostic tests at these clinics on more than 6.5 crore occasions. Our government’s job is not to make people raise slogans of victory or defeat, but to ensure healthcare, education and employment for the people. The traditional political parties have only looted Punjab. They may resort to any number of malicious tactics to defame us, but as long as I have the love and trust of the people, I have nothing to fear from them. Inquilab Zindabad.”

In another post, CM Bhagwant Singh Mann stated: “Today, we have dedicated 154 new Aam Aadmi Clinics to the people of Punjab. So far, patients have availed free medicines and diagnostic tests at these clinics on more than 6.5 crore occasions. Our government’s mission is not to make people raise slogans of victory or defeat, but to ensure quality healthcare, education and employment for every citizen. The traditional political parties have only looted Punjab. They may resort to any number of malicious tactics to defame us, but as long as I have the love and trust of the people, I have nothing to fear from them. Inquilab Zindabad.”

Addressing the gathering, CM Bhagwant Singh Mann said, “Today, we have dedicated 154 more Aam Aadmi Clinics to the people of Punjab, taking the total number of these clinics to 1,245. Of the newly dedicated clinics, 36 are in Amritsar, 26 in Patiala, 17 in Ludhiana, 12 in Gurdaspur, 11 in Jalandhar and 10 in SAS Nagar (Mohali), along with others across the state. These clinics provide 107 medicines and 47 types of diagnostic tests free of cost, ensuring that people can access essential healthcare services without financial hardship.”

Highlighting the growing public response to the initiative, the Chief Minister said, “The 1,090 Aam Aadmi Clinics already operating across Punjab have considerably strengthened people’s confidence in government healthcare institutions. Around one lakh people visit these clinics every day to receive treatment, and a total of 6.48 crore OPD visits have been recorded so far. This reflects the trust people have placed in these facilities.”

He further said, “Of the patients visiting these clinics, 1.98 crore were suffering from specific illnesses, while 3.63 crore diagnostic tests have been conducted free of cost. These facilities are providing substantial financial relief to families by ensuring access to medical consultations, medicines and diagnostic services without additional expenses.”

Health cards have been issued to 54.20 lakh families so far, and every family covered under the scheme is entitled to free medical treatment worth up to ₹10 lakh. So far, 8.02 lakh beneficiaries have received treatment under this scheme, which is proving to be a boon for the masses.”

We have also undertaken the highest-ever recruitment of doctors and paramedical staff to strengthen healthcare institutions and improve the delivery of medical services to the people.”
