In a significant step towards supporting the fight against tuberculosis, Inner Wheel Club Midtown adopted 25 TB patients today under the Health Department’s TB-Free India initiative. As part of this humanitarian effort, free ration packets were distributed to 25 families to ensure that patients receive proper nutrition along with their treatment.
With this addition, the total number of TB patients adopted across Ludhiana district has reached 275, reflecting the growing support of social organizations in the campaign to eliminate tuberculosis.
On this occasion, appreciated the initiative and said that community participation is playing a crucial role in strengthening the district’s TB eradication efforts. He emphasized that along with regular medication, nutritional support is essential for TB patients to recover effectively and complete their treatment successfully.
Dr. Chawla further stated, “The active involvement of organizations like Inner Wheel Club Midtown is highly encouraging. Such support not only improves the health of TB patients but also motivates them to continue treatment regularly. These collective efforts are helping us move closer to the goal of a TB-free society.”
Representatives of Inner Wheel Club Midtown said that the organization remains committed to social welfare and public health initiatives. They shared that the club has adopted 25 TB patients and distributed ration kits to their families, and assured that they will continue extending support to those in need in the future.
