Strict Action By Food Safety Team In Ludhiana: Dairy Complex And Sweet Shop Inspected

The Food Safety Team, Ludhiana, under the guidance of Dr. Ashish Chawala, conducted a special checking and sampling drive at Habowal Dairy Complex, Hambaran Road, Trishina Nagar, Civil Lines.

During the operation, the team collected two samples of paneer, two samples of milk, one sample of cheese analogue, and one sample of salt. All samples were properly sealed as per the norms of the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) and sent to the State Food Laboratory for analysis to ensure their quality and compliance with prescribed standards.

In addition, a sweet shop located on Gokul Road was also inspected. During the inspection, hygiene standards, storage conditions, and compliance with FSSAI guidelines were thoroughly evaluated. The shopkeeper was also advised to further improve hygiene and food safety practices.

Dr. Ashish Chawala stated that maintaining a clean environment, proper storage, and quality of food products is the responsibility of every food business operator as per FSSAI regulations. He added that such regular inspections are aimed at ensuring safe, hygienic, and quality food for the public.

He further warned that strict action will be taken under FSSAI laws against anyone found violating food safety norms.
