Major Healthcare Boost For Ludhiana: 17 Aam Aadmi Clinics Handed Over To The Public

Civil Surgeon Dr. Ramandeep Kaur informed that under the mission of the Punjab Government to provide quality and free primary healthcare services to the people, 17 new Aam Aadmi Clinics were handed over to the residents of Ludhiana district. These clinics were inaugurated by the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Punjab from Sri Fatehgarh Sahib, while the event in Ludhiana was conducted virtually. With this significant initiative, the total number of Aam Aadmi Clinics in the district has reached 109, marking a major achievement in the healthcare sector.
She further stated that these clinics have been established at New Model Town, Amloh Road Khanna, Kakowal, Balloki, Bhamian Kalan, Dad, Dharmshala Parjapat Shehbazpura Road Ward No. 9 Raikot, Daba Lohara, Jandiali, Ashok Nagar Salem Tabri, Guru Arjun Dev Nagar near Banda Bahadur Gurudwara, Kapil Park Ward No. 64, DC Office Old PWD Building, Indra Colony at Veterinary Hospital Barewal Road, Tikoni Building Community Centre Zone D Ludhiana, Raman Market behind Laxmi Cinema, Village Lohara opposite Sports Park, and Purani Dana Mandi Jagraon, ensuring easy access to healthcare services for both urban and rural populations.
Dr. Ramandeep Kaur added that this initiative is a result of the visionary leadership of the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Punjab and Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr. Balbir Singh, aimed at delivering free and high-quality healthcare services to every citizen. These Aam Aadmi Clinics will provide free OPD services, essential medicines, diagnostic tests, and other basic healthcare facilities, ensuring treatment closer to home and reducing the burden on higher healthcare institutions.
The inauguration was attended by the concerned area MLAs, senior officials of the Health Department, and other dignitaries. She appealed to the residents of the district to fully utilize the services being provided at these Aam Aadmi Clinics and contribute towards building a healthier society.
