World Science Day for Peace and Development is an international day that highlights the important role of science in the society. It also highlights the need to engage the wider public in debates on emerging scientific issues.
To mark this day, Green Land Senior Secondary Public School organised an activity in which students of kindergarten showed up as astronauts and scientists. The students of Grade I- V participated in Slogan Writing and poster making competition on the theme ‘Contribution of Science in our day to day lives.’
The Chairman, Chain of Green Land Schools, Dr. Rajesh Rudhra said that World Science Day aims to ensure that citizens are kept informed of developments in science.
The Principal, Mrs. Baldeep Pandher lauded the efforts of the students and said that the objective of World Science Day for Peace and Development is to strengthen public awareness on the role of science for peaceful and sustainable societies.
