A Day For Health And Hygiene: World Health Day Observed At Innocent Hearts Schools

Under 'Disha – An Initiative', run by the Bowry Memorial Educational and Medical Trust, World Health Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm across all five branches of Innocent Hearts School – Green Model Town, Loharan, Noorpur Road, Cantt.-Jandiala Road, and Kapurthala Road. A variety of engaging and educational activities were conducted to raise awareness about health, hygiene, and wellness among students. For Grade I, the activity “The Power of Clean Hands” was conducted to demonstrate the importance of cleanliness, hygiene, and saving water. Students of Grades II and III attended an awareness lecture on Nutritional Food under the guidance of the Health and Wellness Club. A PowerPoint presentation was used to highlight the importance of eating healthy and maintaining a balanced diet. In Grade IV, the Eco Club ambassadors led a Clean-up Drive to promote cleanliness in the school surroundings. Students and teachers actively participated and showed great excitement during the activity. For Grades V to VII, a Yogalates session was conducted by the Sports & Wellness Club, emphasizing the importance of staying healthy, strong, and relaxed through a combination of yoga and pilates. A Poster Making and Slogan Writing Competition was organized by the Creative Strokes Club and the Linguistic Club. Students creatively expressed their thoughts on health and wellness through art and powerful slogans. Additionally, the Linguistic Club also organized a Health Journal activity, where students recorded their daily routines, including food intake, exercise, sleep, and hygiene. This activity helped them understand the value of healthy habits and encouraged them to adopt a responsible lifestyle.The celebration of World Health Day has proved to be a meaningful initiative that inspired students to embrace a healthier and more mindful way of living.
