“We Will Not Allow Drug Traffickers and Gangsters to Raise Their Heads in Punjab” – SSP Dr. Darpan Ahluwalia ** Under Operation Prahar-2, SSP Personally Led the Force on Roads; Shifting Nakabandi at 20 Locations ** Khanna, Ludhiana, February 09: Under the visionary leadership of Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Singh Mann and the directions of Punjab DGP S. Gaurav Yadav, Khanna Police carried out strict and effective action against criminals under the special campaign Operation Prahar-2, setting a strong example in the district. A key highlight of this operation was that SSP Dr. Darpan Ahluwalia personally led the entire police force on the ground, supervising the operation directly from morning till night. SSP Dr. Darpan Ahluwalia stated that Operation Prahar-2 is a three-day special अभियान, aimed at completely curbing drug trafficking, gangster activities, theft, robbery, and other criminal activities in the district. On the very first day of the operation, multiple police teams simultaneously conducted raids at 151 locations, resulting in the arrest of 125 criminals. These included gangsters, drug traffickers, habitual offenders, wanted accused, and other anti-social elements. From 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM, in the presence of gazetted officers, shifting nakabandi was conducted at 20 different locations across Khanna district. During this period, every vehicle and individual passing through was thoroughly checked. With the help of PIAS and VAHAN apps, vehicles were verified instantly to detect and act upon any suspicious activity without delay. SSP Dr. Darpan Ahluwalia remained present on the spot and personally monitored every naka and checkpoint. He instructed police personnel to perform their duties with alertness and honesty, while maintaining polite and courteous behavior with the general public. His on-ground presence significantly boosted the morale of the police force. Additionally, the district wireless communication system was kept fully active to ensure immediate coordination in case of any emergency and to maintain seamless communication among all teams. Due to this strict police action, a sense of fear was instilled among criminals, and a strong message of law and order was conveyed across the district. SSP Dr. Darpan Ahluwalia clearly stated that drug traffickers and gangsters will not be allowed to operate in Punjab at any cost. He also appealed to the general public to immediately inform the police if they notice any suspicious activity, assuring that the identity of informants will be kept completely confidential.
