Khanna Police Crackdown: Raids at 151 Locations in a Single Day, Panic Among Gangsters ** Big Success for Police District Khanna; Heroin and Drug Money Recovered ** Public Happy with Police Action in Khanna, Fear Among Drug Traffickers ** Khanna, Ludhiana, February 09: Under Operation Prahar–2, launched by the Punjab Government against crime, gangsters, and drugs, a major action was carried out in Police District Khanna. On the very first day of the campaign, within a few hours, various teams of Khanna Police detained around 125 suspicious persons, creating panic among criminals. This action is being seen as a remarkable result of the strict anti-drug policy of Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, the strong strategy of DGP Gaurav Yadav, and the effective field leadership of SSP Khanna Dr. Darpan Ahluwalia. Planned Raids: Simultaneous Action at 151 Locations Under Operation Prahar–2, simultaneous raids were conducted at 151 locations across the three sub-divisions of Khanna, Payal, and Samrala. Acting on meticulous planning and confidential inputs, multiple police teams targeted gangsters, drug traffickers, and other criminal elements. During the operation, 3 active gangsters were arrested, 45 wanted criminals apprehended, 46 persons detained under preventive action, 2 proclaimed offenders arrested, and 29 other suspects detained for questioning. In total, action was taken against 125 individuals. Huge Recovery of Drugs and Illegal Material The operation yielded significant success. SSP Dr. Darpan Ahluwalia informed that the police recovered ₹4 lakh drug money, 321.15 grams of heroin, 60 intoxicant capsules, 1 kilogram of opium, 3 cartons of illicit liquor, one vehicle, 4 live cartridges, 8 expensive mobile phones, one smartwatch, and mobile accessories. These recoveries clearly indicate that the operation is a strong step toward dismantling drug trafficking and criminal networks.
