Glada Bans Property Registration In 22 Colonies For Not Transfering Reserved Space For Economically Weaker Sections

SAYS, PROMOTERS DUTY BOUND TO TRANSFER RESERVED LAND TO STATE GOVERNMENT Chief Administrator Greater Ludhiana Area Development Authority (GLADA) Sagar Setia IAS today said that the authority has imposed ban on property registration in as many as 22 colonies falling within its jurisdiction for not transferring land reserved for economically weaker sections (EWS) as per government instructions. The CA further added that the GLADA has directed the promoters of these 22 colonies to transfer land reserved for EWS categories to state government but they failed to comply with these orders. Subsequently, the authority has initiated ban on property registration in these colonies under the provisions of PAPRA Act. The sub registrars of the concerned areas have been asked to strictly implement these orders in their respective jurisdictions. Giving more information, the CA GLADA stated that as per the policy the promoters have to keep five percent land reserve for EWS category which is transfered to state government. The colonies failed to comply with the orders included Crown Town, Village Lalton kalan, Ludhiana; Rajgadh Estates, Ph-1, Extn.-1 Village Birmi, Ludhiana; Ludhiana Green, Village Jainpur, Ludhiana; Palm Enclave Il, Village Bulara, Distt. Ludhiana; Gitika Valley, Village Sangowal, Distt. Ludhiana; Carlton Wood Homes-2, Village Ayali Khurd, Ludhiana; Platinum city, Village Mansooran, Ludhiana; Ram Rajya Enclave, Village Majra, Teh Khanna; Green Valley Village Agwar Gujiran-Teh Jagraon, Ludhiana; Maharaja Aggarsen Enclave, Village khanpur, Ludhiana; Gulmohar Green, Village Jodhan, Rattan Ekta Vihar Exten-1 village Dhandra, Ludhiana; Goldust Township, Village Alamgir, Teh. & Distt.
