The Childrens day celebrated on 14 November should be discontinued and 20 November celebrated in memory of the supreme sacrifice by two young sons of Guru Gobind Singh ji. Said Mr Jeevan Gupta state general Secretary of BJP here today. Making a appeal to the Prime Minister Mr Narendra Modi that 14 November was imposed on the nation in 1964 by the congress party . As it was the birthday of Jawaharlal Nehru when actually prior the government had decided that 20 November be declared as Childrens day said Mr Gupta. It is unfortunate that the supreme sacrifice of Zorawar Singh and Fateh Singh has been ignored and Mr Nehru s birth day is celebrated as Childrens day in our country. All the festivals and special days celebrated have a history in our country. We urge the Prime Minister that 20 November be declared as Childrens day and due recognition be finally given where it is due. Said Mr Gupta.
