MP (Rajya Sabha) Sanjeev Arora has conveyed message of Eid Mubarak not only to the Muslims but whole of the nation, stating that he hopes that this special day brings everyone lots of happiness, prosperity, and wonderful moments together.
Addressing thousands of Muslims during the state level function organised on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr at Jama Masjid here on Monday, he added that Shahi Imam has always worked for peace and prosperity in Punjab.
He said, “Ludhiana city is a bouquet of people of all religions. All its flowers keep the atmosphere pleasant with their fragrance. The historic Jama Masjid of Ludhiana is the main religious center of Muslims, and it is also a symbol of peace and love for people of all religions.”
Arora announced an amount of Rs.2.50 lakh for the ongoing construction work at Jama Masjid of Ludhiana. He also announced to extend any kind of any if asked for in the future too.
Among others, MLAs Ashok Prashar Pappi, Madan Lal Bagga, Senior Deputy Mayor Rakesh Parashar, Gurdwara Dukh Niwaran Sahib Mukh Sewadar Pritpal Singh and Jama Masjid Ludhiana president Mohd. Mustkeem were present.
On the occasion, MP Arora presented a copy of The Constitution of India to Shahi Imam.
MLA Ashok Prashar Pappi termed Arora as “Vikas Purush” who has proved himself as a development-oriented leader and a leader of poor and needy.
