Cicu’s 11th Mega Job Fair Strengthens Punjab’s Industrial Workforce 3,550 Candidates Receive Job Offers

Reinforcing its commitment towards industrial growth, employment generation, and skill development in Punjab, the Chamber of Industrial & Commercial Undertakings (CICU) successfully organized the 11th Mega Job Fair at the CICU Complex, Focal Point, Ludhiana. The event emerged as one of the largest industry-driven recruitment initiatives in the region, bringing together thousands of aspiring job seekers and leading industrial establishments under one roof. Organized in collaboration with the Department of Employment Generation, Skill Development & Training, Employment Bureau Punjab, Department of Technical Education and Industrial Training, and supported by Sun Foundation, the mega recruitment drive witnessed enthusiastic participation from over 6,500 candidates. More than 6,000 employment opportunities were offered across multiple sectors, and 3,550 candidates received job offer letters, marking a significant step towards bridging the gap between industry requirements and skilled manpower availability.

Punjab Housing and Urban Development Minister Sh. Hardeep Singh Mundian graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and personally handed over appointment letters to selected candidates. He lauded CICU’s continuous efforts in creating employment opportunities and supporting industrial growth through meaningful industry-academia-government collaboration.

A notable highlight of the event was the participation of Tata Steel for the second consecutive time, reflecting growing confidence among leading national corporations in CICU’s recruitment platform and the quality of Punjab’s workforce. The job fair offered a wide range of employment opportunities including positions for computer operators, office assistants, digital marketers, sales executives, technicians, machine operators, welders, CNC operators, fitters, and other skilled and semi-skilled professionals.

Speaking on the occasion, Sh. Upkar Singh Ahuja, President, CICU, stated that Punjab’s industrial progress depends upon a robust and skilled workforce. He emphasized that CICU remains committed to creating platforms that not only generate employment for youth but also address the manpower requirements of industries, thereby contributing to the state's economic development and industrial competitiveness. Prominent CICU office bearers including Sh. Honey Sethi (General Secretary), Dr. S.B. Singh (Joint Secretary), Sh. J.S. Bhogal (Sr. Vice President), Sh. Gautam Malhotra (Vice President), Sh. Ajay Bharti (Finance Secretary), were also present and actively interacted with participating companies and candidates.
