2 Days Brain Storming Conference On 27th And 28th April At Punjabi Bhawan, Ludhiana With Focus On -punjabi Language- Changing Scenario In Contemporary Times -

Punjabi Sahitya Academy, Ludhiana is organising two days brain storming comprehensive Punjabi Bhasha Conference on 27th and 28th April at Punjabi Bhawan, Ludhiana. The inaugural session begins at 9:30 AM on first day which will be chaired by Dr S S Johal where Surjit Patar will be the Chief Guest. Dr Sarabjit Singh will delineate the outlines of the 2 days conference which is focussed on the theme Punjabi Language- Changing scenario in contemporary times -. Dr Joga Singh will deliver Keynote Address, while Dr. Gulzar Pandher will compere the programme. Dr Pal Kaur Sr VP of Academy who will present thanks at the inaugural ceremony will be joined by Prof. Balwinder Singh Chahal for reporting the event. Giving this information, the president of the academy Dr. Sarabjit Singh and General Secretary Dr. Gulzar Singh Pandher said that the second session will start at 11.45 AM which will be Chaired by Dr. Swarajbir. In this session ,Dr. Sukhdev Singh Sirsa will speak on Status of Indian Languages in Contemporary Times. Dr. Surjit Singh will read his research paper on Consumerism, Culture and Punjabi Bhasha.Comment and thanks on this will be given by Dr. Arvinder Kaur Kakra.Mr. Shabdish and Mr. Wahid will be the moderator and reporter of the event respectively. As informed by Dr Pandher, the 3rd session starts at 2.30 afternoon which will be chaired by vice chanceller Punjabi University, Patiala Professor Arvind . In this session Dr Amarjit Grewal will speak on Intellect and Punjabi Bhasha. Dr Sukhwinder Singh Sangha speaks on , Opportunities for Punjabi Bhasha in the Global World while Dr Dharamvir Sharma speaks on Technology and Punjabi Language. Dr C P Kamboz reads his research paper on Punjabi Language in Digital Age. Dr Harvinder Singh Sirsa will give his comments and thanks to the speakers of all these research papers. Session will be compered by Dr Sarghi while reporting will be done by Deep Jagdeep Singh. The Fourth session will be in the evening will start at 5.30 pm in which the film Aatu Khozhi Film written by Dr Gurmit Kariyalawi will be deliberated upon in which the main character is Samula John which is directed by Rajiv Kumar . On this comments and thanks will be given by Dr. Gurcharan Kaur Kochhar . This session will be compered by Sahajpreet Singh Mangat and reporting will be done by Karamjit Singh Grewal. Senior Vice President of the Academy Dr. Pal Kaur said that on April 28 in the morning, the fifth session will be held at 9.30 which is chaired by Dr. Manmohan . Dr. Navjit Johal speaks on Print Media and Punjabi language. Dr Paramjit Singh Dhingra speaks on Role and relevance of Punjabi Language in changing scenarios. Dr. Sohan Singh will present his research paper on Constructiveness of Punjabi Language in changing times. This session will be compered by Kanwarjit and reporting will be done by Narinderpal Kaur. Academy Secretary of Literary Activities, Dr. Hari Singh Jachak and Office Secretary Jasveer Jhaj inform that the sixth session of the conference will start at 11.45 morning that day Which will be chaired by Dr. Surjit Singh Bhatti. In this session, Dr Buta Singh Brar will speak on Education and Mother Tongue. Dr Gurpal Singh Sandhu presents his research paper on Multicultural Society and Linguistic Needs. Comments and thanks giving will be performed by Tarlochan Lochi . Stage will be compered by Dr. Hari Singh Jachak and reporting will be done by Dr Harjinder Singh Jammu. The 7th and concluding session of 2 day conference starts at 2:30 afternoon which will be jointly presided by Dr. Joginder Singh Nirala, Dr. Anup Singh and Mr Prem Sahil . In this session teachers and students will present their important research papers. This session will be moderated by Dr. Santokh Singh Sukhi and Mr. Sanjeevan . The reporting of the session will be done by Mr. Varghese Salamat.
