Continuing Medical Education (cme) Programme On “modern Trends In Cancer Care

 IMA Ludhiana organized a successful Continuing Medical Education (CME) programme on “Modern Trends in Cancer Care” on 8th April 2026 at IMA House, BRS Nagar, Ludhiana, in association with Cancer Centers of America.

The CME was granted two credit hours by the Punjab Medical Council. Dr. Manoj Sobti, Patron, IMA Ludhiana, was present as the observer from the Punjab Medical Council. Dr. Karamveer Goyal and Dr. Pritpal Singh was also present as members of the Punjab Medical Council.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. Manoj Sobti urged doctors to regularly participate in CMEs so that they remain updated with the latest knowledge and advances in their respective fields.
Among the dignitaries present on the dais were Dr. Pawan Dhingra, President, IMA Ludhiana; Dr. Avtar Singh Kharay, President-Elect; Dr. Dhiraj Aggarwal, Immediate Past President; Dr. Davinderjit Walia, Vice President; Dr. Narjeet Kaur, Vice President; Dr. Dhiren Bassi, Joint Secretary; Dr. Pankaj Mittal, Finance Secretary; and Dr. Ashish Ohri, Honorary Secretary, IMA Ludhiana.
The CME was smoothly conducted by Dr. Ashish Ohri, Honorary Secretary, IMA Ludhiana, who coordinated the proceedings of the academic evening.
The scientific programme featured expert lectures by Dr. Naveen Kanda on “Role of Radiotherapy in Cancer,” Dr. Amit K. Dhiman on “Immunotherapy Landscape in GI Cancers,” and Dr. Ravinder S. Sidhu on “Evolving Role of PSMA PET Scan in Prostatic Carcinoma.” The sessions were chaired by eminent senior doctors, and many other distinguished members of the medical fraternity were also present.
The programme was highly appreciated by the attending doctors for its academic relevance, practical value, and enriching discussions. The event concluded successfully with a vote of thanks by Dr. Avtar Singh Kharay, President-Elect, IMA Ludhiana.
