Vet Varsity Students Bring Laurels At Punjab State Inter-varsity Youth Festival

Students from Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, Ludhiana participated in Punjab State Inter-Varsity Youth Festival and brought laurels to the university by bagging awards in five different events. Students of Varsity secured first position in Elocution, second Position in Debate, second Position in Giddha, second Position in Installation, and third Position in Short Video Film Making. Punjab State Inter-Varsity Youth Festival was held at Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar from November 26-29, 2023. Dr Deepali Kalambhe , contingent incharge of varsity informed that 71 students of Vet Varsity participated in Elocution , Debate, Giddha , Heritage arts, Short video film making , Mimicry, Mime, Installation, Bhangra and Luddi competitions. Around 2500 students from 17 different universities of the region participated in 50 various events based on literary, heritage, music, fine arts and dance categories in this inter-university festival. The festival was inaugurated by S. Gurmeet Singh Khuddian, Cabinet Minister, Punjab for Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, Fisheries and Dairy Development. Dr Sarvpreet Singh Ghuman, Director Students Welfare said that our students are doing excellent work in studies, research as well as cultural activities. He said that we are small in size and students are lesser in numbers in comparison to the other conventional universities but our students raise our heads with pride at every platform. He appreciated the efforts of the students as well as their teachers and mentors. Dr Inderjeet Singh, Vice-Chancellor congratulated students and teachers. He said that from these types of platforms, where students learn the cultural skills but they also hone the lessons of life.
