Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) candidate for the upcoming Ludhiana (West) assembly byelection, Rajya Sabha MP Sanjeev Arora attended two functions one each at Saheed-e-Azam Sukhdev Thapar Girls School of Eminence (Bharat Nagar Chowk) and Baba Isher Singh (N) Senior Secondary School (BRS Nagar), organised by Guru Gobind Singh Study Circle, Ludhiana on Friday. Both the events were organised on the occasion of Hola Mohalla.
Addressing both the functions, Arora highly appreciated the organisers for organising sports and other activities for the youth. He said there is a need to inculcate spirit of sportsmanship among the youth, adding that sports activities can play a vital role in eradicating drug menace among the youth. He said the state government led by CM Bhagwant Singh Mann is committed to completely eradicate drug menace from the state. He asked everyone to support the state government in massive drive against drugs.
Arora also appreciated Guru Gobind Singh Study Circle for carrying out services for imparting education and moral values among the youth. He narrated his three years achievements as an MP. He said he is always committed for overall development of his assembly constituency, adding that while many development works have already been completed and several other works are still in progress. He greets everyone on the occasion of Hola Mohalla.
At Saheed-e-Azam Sukhdev Thapar Girls School of Eminence (Bharat Nagar Chowk) event, Guru Gobind Singh Study Circle’s Gurmeet Singh and others applauded the Arora and termed him a down to earth leader working for overall development of city and its residents. They said Arora has been working for every community of the society. They said it is also a matter of pride that he is running an NGO for welfare of the cancer patients, adding that Arora is a role model for other politicians.
At Baba Isher Singh (N) Senior Secondary School (BRS Nagar) event, Arora thanked Harpreet Singh Bedi (municipal councillor), and others including Prabhjit Singh and Gurcharan Singh for inviting him at the Hola Mohalla event. He said the state government led by Punjab CM Bhagwant Singh Mann has already done a lot for promotion of Punjabi language, adding that the state government will continue its efforts towards this direction in the future also. He made a fervent appeal to people to cooperate in mass drive against menace of drugs across the state.
