CICU organised 5th and 6th League Matches of S. Angad Singh Memorial - 9th CICU Corporate T-20 Cricket Tournament - 2023 on 222nd Oct. 2023 were played between the teams of New Swan Enterprises V/s Avon Cycles Ltd. and Vardhman Special Steels Ltd. V/s. Highway Industries Ltd. (Mangli) at Cricket Grounds of GRD Academy Hambran Road, Ludhiana. The 5th league match toss was won by New Swan Enterprises and decided bat first. New Swan Enterprises team scored 159 runs in 20 overs by losing 9 wickets and Avon Cycles Ltd. team scored 84 runs in 15.3 overs by losing all wickets. The match was won by New Swan Enterprises by 75 runs. Mr. Rajeshwar Singh of New Swan Enterprises scored 53 runs with 5 fours and 3 sixes in 37 balls and he was declared best batsman. Mr. Tajinder Singh of New Swan Enterprises took 5 wickets by giving 23 runs in 4 overs and he was declared best bowler. The 6th league match toss was won by Highway Industries Ltd. (Mangli) team and they decided to field first. Vardhman Special Steel Ltd. team scored 148 runs in 19.5 overs by losing all wickets and Highway Industries Ltd. (Mangli) team scored 103 runs in 20 overs by losing 8 wickets. The match was won by Vardhman Special Steel Ltd. team by 45 runs. Mr. Sangram Bhosle of Vardhman Special Steel Ltd. scored 51 runs with 6 fours and 1 six and he was declared the best batsman. Mr. Rahul of Highway Industries Ltd. took 3 wickets by giving 21 runs in 3.5 overs and he was declared best bowler of the match. Sh. Watching live sport at the cricket ground is a fun filled and awesome experience. He played the third ball of the first over and discussed the best practices of cricket.
