The Chamber of Industrial & Commercial Undertakings (CICU) was honoured today with the visit of Sh. Varinder Gupta, Managing Director of IOL Chemicals and Pharmaceuticals Ltd., and Sh. Pardeep Khanna, Head of Finance, to inaugurate the newly established IOL Recreation Table Tennis Room at the CICU Complex.
The inauguration ceremony took place today and marked a significant step in promoting health, wellness, and work-life balance among the industrial fraternity. IOL Chemicals generously contributed a lot toward the development of this facility as part of their ongoing commitment to corporate social responsibility and employee wellbeing.
Addressing the gathering, Sh. Upkar Singh Ahuja, President of CICU, remarked, “A healthy mind resides in a healthy body,” emphasizing the importance of such recreational initiatives in improving productivity and morale within the industrial community.
The event was graced by several distinguished office bearers and members of CICU, including: Sh. Honey Sethi, General Secretary, CICU, Sh. Ajay Bharti, Finance Secretary, CICU, Sh. Gautam Malhotra, Vice President, CICU, Sh. Sanjay Dhiman, Organizing Secretary, CICU, Sh. Ashwani Kumar Goyal, Industrialist, Sh. Aman Bassi, Industrialist and many other prominent members from Ludhiana’s industrial landscape.
Speaking on the occasion, Sh. Varinder Gupta expressed his delight at being part of a project that fosters a culture of recreation and community among industrialists. “Wellness is no longer a luxury—it is a necessity in today’s fast-paced industrial environment,” he noted.
The IOL Recreation Table Tennis Room is now open to all CICU members and will serve as a dedicated space for physical activity, networking, and relaxation.
