The festival of lights came alive at Green Land Sr. Sec. Public School when the whole school wore a festive look with diyas, rangoli, cards, candles, lanterns and art work from eco friendly goods. While celebrating Diwali in school, young Green knights, led the way in spreading the message of celebrating safe and pollution-free Eco-Friendly Diwali.
During the week Card Making, Diya Decoration, Festoon Making, Lantern Making and Rangoli Making competitions were held to enhance the creative skills of the students.
On the occasion , a special assembly was organized where students talked about the significance of the festival - how good always conquered the evil and also about why and how Diwali is celebrated across India. Besides sensitizing students about the ill-effects of crackers, they also shared the guidelines of environment-friendly options for celebrating Diwali Wonderful presentation of the assembly by the students instilled a sense of victory of light over darkness, knowledge over ignorance, good over evil, and hope over despair
Wishing the students happy and prosperous diwali, the Chairman of Chain of Green Land Schools, Dr. Rajesh Rudhra appreciated the concern shown by students towards the environment through their aesthetic creations. He extended the hope that only students can change the face of this nation. He also admired the responsible attitude of the students who have shouldered the responsibility of making India clean and green.
The Principal, Mrs. Baldeep Pandher offered her warm wishes to the children and reiterated that children should celebrate pollution free Diwali in its purest form by lighting the lamps and sharing with less fortunate.
