National Constitution Day was celebrated at Green Land Sr. Sec. Public School to commemorate the adoption of Indian Constitution. A special assembly was organized for the students from IV-VII to reiterate the values and principles in the constitution. The students read the Preamble & took pledge to uphold their constitution.
A seminar on “HAMARA SAVIDHAN, HAMARA ABHIMAN” was also organized for the students from VIII-XII by Political Science students of XI in which through videos, PPT’s and lectures they highlighted the journey of framing of Indian Constitution from its history to present day. They also explained the meaning of Constitution, the Preamble, the fundamental rights, duties & directive principles. The session ended with quiz and pledge to safeguard the constitution & the country.
The Chairman, Chain of Green Land Schools, Dr. Rajesh Rudhra said that observing such days help students to know about Indian history, about the importance of Constitution and to spread the thoughts and ideas of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, the father of the Constitution of India.
The Principal, Mrs Baldeep Pandher encouraged the students to abide by the Constitution. Quoting Dr. Ambedkar, “We are Indians, firstly and lastly.”, she motivated the students to reaffirm their commitment to uphold the ideology laid down in the Indian Constitution.
