Amritsar Railway station received significant look with continuous efforts of Shwait Malik

BJP State president and MP Shwait Malik congratulated everyone on the occasion of 70th republic day. On this auspicious day, Malik hosted 100 feet high national flag of the country. While addressing the crowd, he highlighted the importance of Republic day, the democratic setup and wave of enthusiasm among people in India. Amritsar Railway station is at the verge of coming in the list of world class stations and MP Shwait Malik assured to provide maximum facilities for tourists and a heritage look for the building. Along with this, both sides of the station will be embellished where 27 storey mall and an office building will be constructed. With the constant efforts of Malik, center allowed to give a budget of 500 crores for this vast project. To ease the travelling of pilgrims, he provided many facilities in Golden Temple, Durgiana Temple, Valmiki temple and much more in his work tenure of two years which wasn’t accomplished by Congress government in past 70 years. Railway station achieved various developments which included increase in number of platforms, granite marbles on floors, purified water systems, 50 fans more, 5 lifts for senior citizens, new washing line, and new electronic system to reduce traffic on the railway station. After acquiring the chair, MP presented the need of Amritsar-Ferozpur rail link in 2016 and Central government passed a budget of 299 crores in 2017 budget. He added that there is only one route from Amritsar to Mumbai and in case of emergency, passengers are left with no other option. This new link will help in providing more comfort. Besides this, it will also help in uplifting the business in adjacent 5 states of Punjab. BJP members Anand Sharma, Rajinder Mohan Chhina, Suresh Mahajan, Kewal Kumar, Dr Ram Chawla, Anuj Sikka, Harvinder Sandhu, Janardan Sharma, Ajay Arora, Gautam Arora, DharamPal Sharma and delegates of Railway department SDRM Ferozpur Naresh Kumar Verma, DEN 2 Abhinav Garg, Senior DEE H.K Sharma and station Director Amrik Singh were present on the occasion.
