With an aim for providing employment to the unemployed youth of the district, The District Bureau of Employment and Enterprises Ludhiana today organised a placement camp in which 13 unemployed youth of Ludhiana district got employment. This camp was organised under the supervision of Mrs Neeru Katyal Gupta, CEO District Bureau of Employment and Enterprises cum Additional Deputy Commissioner Jagraon and Mr Navdeep Singh, Deputy CEO District Bureau of Employment and Enterprises. During today’s camp, the officials from Axis Bank interviewed the applicants for 21 vacant posts in the bank. Mr Navdeep Singh informed that a total of 114 graduate applicants were shortlisted, out of which 27 were found eligible for these jobs and 22 were present during the camp today. He informed that a two-hour long workshop for these eligible youth was held in the District Bureau of Employment and Enterprises near Partap Chowk today and their online registration was done. Out of the total shortlisted candidates, 13 have been given employment by Axis Bank. Mr Navdeep Singh informed that under the Ghar Ghar Rozgar scheme of the Punjab government, unemployed youth can find employment in both government as well as private sector. He appealed to all the unemployed youth to avail full opportunity of this scheme by getting themselves registered with the District Bureau of Employment and Enterprises at their office near Partap Chowk, here. He also urged the youth to get themselves registered using online as well as offline modes so that they can get proper employment.
