Janmashtami, the birth of Lord Krishna was celebrated with great religious fervourat Green Land Convent School, Dugri. The school wore a look of ‘Brij-Dham’ as tiny- tots dressedup as Radha, Krishna and ‘Brijwaasis’added a traditional touch to the entirecelebrations. The whole ambience oozed out divinity and festivity with colourful flowers, decorated swings, buntings and the ‘Dahi-Haandi’ . There was an aura of serenity as devotional songs were sung. All the staff members and the students took part in the pious rituals which were performed by the honourable dignitaries. The fragrance of flowers, soothingaroma of burning camphor and incense filled the air. A mesmerizing dance performancedepicting the life of Lord Krishna was performed on the occasion. A cradle decked up with flowers, ‘ Bal Gopal’ was the centre of attraction. Students from various classes enacted various scenes from the life of Lord Krishna. The teachers narrated stories relating to Lord Krishna and his teachings.
