Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh would hand over the appointment letters to thousands of the youths at Punjab Agricultural University on Sunday in a mega job fair on Sunday. He would also lay foundation stones of development projects worth Rs 159 crores for the city. After visiting the site to oversee the arrangements of the mega event, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Mr Pradeep Kumar Agrawal said that the program would start at 11 am in which thousands of youths selected during the district levels job fairs held in several districts of the state, would get appointment letters from CM Capt Amarinder Singh. He said that apart from the selected youths, the representatives of several companies would also participate in the function. DC also said that CM would lay the foundation stones of projects which include smart LED street lights worth Rs 22.75 crores, surface water based water supply projects worth Rs 46.50 crores for 24-hours water supply, sewage system rehabilitation project worth Rs 39.30 crores, water drainage system worth Rs 22.59 crore, Rs 22.75 crore for developing Malhar road as Smart Street Road. He said that all these projects would start formally on May 25 and would be completed within two years and reports of these all projects have also been prepared.
